About Grand Mahjong
Grand Mahjong uses the familiar free-tile rule: nothing may cover the selected tile, and at least one side must be open. The pyramid therefore changes gradually as removing outer pairs exposes deeper pieces.
When you have several possible matches, compare how many tiles each one releases. A pair high in the stack may open a route that an easy edge match would leave blocked.
