About Block Blast
Block Blast is a placement puzzle played on an eight-by-eight grid. Drag the available shapes into open spaces and complete rows or columns to remove them. The blocks cannot be rotated, so their original orientation is part of the problem. A shape that fits now may still leave an awkward gap for your next move.
Look at the board as a whole before filling a tempting space. Try to leave areas that can accommodate different shapes, and compare whether a placement could help finish a row and a column together. Clearing lines creates room to continue, but the attempt ends when no more blocks can be placed. The challenge is to balance immediate clears with a layout that remains useful for future pieces.
How to play
- Inspect the available shapes and empty spaces.
- Drag a block into a position where its full shape fits.
- Complete a row or column to clear it.
- Keep room for more blocks; play ends when none can be placed.

How large is the Block Blast board?
This version uses an 8×8 grid.
Can I rotate the blocks?
No. You must place each block in the orientation provided.
